About Me

Judy Heminsley is a passionate advocate of working from home, having done so for more than 20 years. She started, grew and eventually sold on a cleaning business from her back bedroom in Bath and was later employed as a home-based business adviser to SMEs. The idea for her book 'Work from Home' came about when she was on the MA Professional Writing course at University College Falmouth and had to come up with an idea for a non-fiction book for her thesis. It was only then she realised that the common thread of her working life had been working from home!

'Work from Home' is published by How To Books and is a friendly, down-to-earth guide on tackling the challenges of home working and getting the best from its undoubted benefits. Judy speaks to groups and works one-to-one over the phone with home workers to help with issues like procrastination, isolation and productivity. She organises regular Jelly coworking events in Frome and her website www.workfromhomewisdom.com provides comprehensive information about coworking, as well as many other aspects of home working.
